i'm writing something just to see how it'll appear in an iframe. i really hate that the iframe is visible before being filled with content. i could append the element with js to avoid the issue, but like, ugh.
i also need to fix the grey lines used to separate the listed blog entries. i don't know why the grey, dashed line only covers a small portion of its container. it doesn't seem like it's been shifted to the right because it's barely longer than the purple line above it. it's weird.
in the future, i want to add a lot more flavor to the site. functionality is my first priority, though. i'm also not certain how i want things to look. i kind of like the solid black background. i like plain things. but, i need some fun textures to really make things pop.
ascii art would be nice. the problem is, real ascii art takes up a lot of space. my formatting for the site, as it stands, does not have a lot of space within the borders. little drawings might be nice. the idea of having no pictures and just plain text is so sweet, though...
ascii art would fit along the sides of the page, i guess. that might be a nightmare to make look nice, though. who knows.
i am also not sure about the site's layout. i think it looks okay. it looks fine. it does, however, look like it was formatted for mobile platforms. worse, it does not look good on mobile platforms.
anyway, i'm just rambling. working on this has been fun. i've spent some time looking at other users' pages. they had some great ideas. more than that, they had a great deal of personality. as with any and all work i perform, i want to inject as much of myself into it as i can.
this site has let me feel productive. i don't feel that i ever get much done. i have to change that. maybe working on this site will allow me to snowball my productivity into other avenues of life. who knows. i'll keep trying.
